How the immigration psychological evaluation works

Start to finish there are five stages, and all of them happen online. Here is each one: what happens, who takes part and how long it takes, so you know exactly what to expect before booking.

We reply by email or WhatsApp, usually the same business day.

1. Form and first reply — same business day

You fill in the form with your name, email, phone, the filing type and your deadline. We reply with available slots and the delivery option that fits your timeline. You can book even if you do not have an attorney yet.

2. Intake and review of materials — 1 to 3 days

Before the interview we review whatever you send: your declaration, letters, prior medical records or your attorney's specific request. That lets the interview focus on what the record needs documented.

3. Clinical interview by video call — 90 to 120 minutes

The interview is conducted personally by Ana Di Fonzo, in Spanish or English. It covers personal and family history, the events relevant to the filing, current symptoms and daily functioning. If the case calls for it, we split it across two sessions at no extra cost.

  • You can do it from home, with headphones, somewhere private.
  • There are no trick questions: this is a clinical interview, not an interrogation.
  • You can ask for a break at any point.

4. Instruments and scoring — within the same week

Standardized instruments are administered according to the clinical picture, such as the PCL-5 for post-traumatic stress symptoms and depression and anxiety scales. They are scored and interpreted alongside what was observed in the interview.

5. Signed report and delivery — 30 days (or 15 with priority)

You receive a signed clinical report in PDF with license number, reason for referral, relevant history, mental status, instruments administered, scores and clinical interpretation. With your authorization we send it directly to your attorney and answer their clarification questions.

What we do and what we do not

We document clinical findings methodically and explain them in writing. We do not give legal opinions, we do not set case strategy, and we do not claim the evaluation improves approval odds: that decision belongs to USCIS or the court.
